On Monday September 18th, SCETV Engineering will be starting work at Paris Mountain (Greenville) transmitter site as initial preparation of the tower for frequency repacking. Under frequency repacking of television channels, the SCETV transmitters are being changed along with antennas. The SCHEART analog antennas are located at the top of an old TV antenna which has to be removed. So for a period of time the UHF/VHF SCHEART repeaters will be off the air. These changes will not affect the SCHEART DMR site which is located at Ceasars Head. Work is scheduled to take most of the week. The SCHEART antennas will be reinstalled and system returned to service as soon as possible.
