SCHEART, Inc. Is a 501(c3) non-profit charity, formed for the purpose of enhancing and expanding the SCHEART radio networks. Our mission is to provide financial support for the expansion and enhancement of the SCHEART statewide emergency communications system in South Carolina, and to encourage amateur radio emergency communications. These networks have a primary mission of providing alternative communications for responding agencies in South Carolina.
We are privately funded, relying on contributions and grants from individuals and organizations. One major source of revenue for SCHEART, Inc. has been Amazon, who allowed its customers to designate a charity, and Amazon would provide a percentage of the customer’s Amazon purchases to the designated charity. Early in this year, 2024, Amazon discontinued this valuable program, leaving SCHEART Inc. without this revenue stream. We now rely on direct contributions. Individuals and organizations can make contributions on this website using the link on the main page. We also accept donations of equipment at our discretion.
